Incompetend staff no product knowledge
I purchased a Whirlpool washing machine in July 2018 at Strubensvalley Makro.
In December 2018 the washing machine started giving problems. Not completing spinning cycle, making loud noises etc.
I contacted Makro in Dec to tell them the machine is giving problems, where after the lady on the phone told me we need to bring the machine to Makro or they will come and collect the machine, but call out fee will be charged ( bare in mind my machine is still under warranty) The lady continued by telling me that the manufacturer will be closing over Dec and they will be opening on 2nd January 2019.
I then decided to not take the machine to Makro as there was no point to take it if they were closing and wouldn’t be able to fix the machine.
In early January I contacted Makro again, this time I was told another story, the lady explained that she will log in the job with Whirlpool and they will be in contact with me in 5 working days.
I waited 5 working days, still no call. I then contacted Makro again and yet again I was told another story... I was told thay once the job is logged in, Whirlpool will be at my house witin 48 hours to fix the Machine.
The job was logged in at Whirlpool, I waited 48hrs and yet again no call from them.
2 weeks later I called Makro again, they explained to me that the job was logged in at Whirlpool and they will contact me. They never called.
I then called again on 24th, I spoke to a lady at Whirlpool, she was very rude and raised her voice to me. She promised that Whirlpools technicians will contact me on Friday the 25th of January. I never got a call.
I am appaled at the customer service!!!!!!
First it was Makro telling me 3 different stories and Whirlpool doing absolutely nothing about this!!!!
I will never go shopping at Makro again or purchase a Whirlpool machine!!!!
This is for all customers thinking about buying a product from Whirlpool, stay away!!!! My machine is 7 months old and already giving me problems!!!!
