Impossible to return an item
I've been attempting to return an item bought online since 17 December. The return was logged online, but it has not been picked up. Every time I phone the general customer line, I'm told that Makro Montague Gardens will contact me. But they never do! Stay away from Makro!

08 Jan 2025, 13:01It gets worse. I finally managed to get through to Makro's Complaints department. There I spoke to a representative who was very sympathetic, and who assured me that he'll resolve my problem and provide daily feedback. Unfortunately I never heard from him again. I also notice that Makro can be bothered to reply to the Hellopeter posting. This is the last that Makro will ever see of me.

29 Jan 2025, 15:13Hi,
I see it took you two weeks to respond to my request - not an indication that customer satisfaction is a priority. And the refund was only processed because I went to your store in person. So your message above is misrepresentation of what actually happened.
To make matters words, the refund that you claim has been made, does not reflect in my bank account. When querying this, I was asked to provide a full bank statement as proof! I hope you realise how insane that request is. What I need from you is proof of payment of the refund. The onus is NOT on me to reveal my private finances of a full month to you just because you are unable to process refunds appropriately.
Let's see how long it takes you to respond to this message.

31 Jan 2025, 15:33Hi,
It seems you didn't read the message above. I KNOW that you claim that a refund has been paid over (read the message again, and you'll see that). What I am asking for (AGAIN), is proof of payment from your side. And by "proof of payment", I don't mean a screenshot of your system, indicating that payment has been made. I mean proof of payment from your bank, which includes a reference number, as well as the details of the account into which it was paid. The reason I'm asking for this (AGAIN) is that, AS I HAVE INDICATED IN MY PREVIOUS MESSAGES, this payment does not reflect in my account. Please read the message properly this time before responding.
