have to pay for goods to be fixed bought from Makro Wonderboom
am really frustrated after the phone call i made to Makro Wonderboom. I bought a generator on the 18 Dec 2018 and it stopped working early April . i took the generator back to the store as it has warranty and its still new . i was then after a month called to be told i need to pay R329,37 and a quotation was send to me which included labour fees for the technician should the generator be fixed. this is the quotation details Parts required: 1,0 SPARK PLUG, RG1200 (NGK-B4)(RG1200/06A) Charges apply: Yes 1,0 OIL(OIL) Charges apply: Yes 1,0 PIPE, FUEL RG6900(RG6900/019) Charges apply: Yes 1,00 Repairs Labour R 180,00 Warrantee Status: Non_Warranty
Total amount: R 329,37
am surprised that i have to pay this for the generator to be fixed.what is the purpose of a warranty ..as far as i know in everything you buy if it becomes damaged or stop working you take it back to the shop and you either get a new one not wait for the damaged item to be fixed worse to pay for the goods to be fixed. At work we bought a kettle at Game store it stopped working after a while we took it back without any struggle we where given a new kettle because it was still under warranty.. My colleque bought a sound system and it stopped working after awhile she took it back she was given a brand new system latest model than the one she had from house and home. SO why should Makro give me such a hustle its only been 3 months i used the generator but the sparks and everything are not working anymore and i have to pay ... i bought the generator at Makro because i know its a reputable store i didn't expect this kind of feedback and service am getting where clients have to pay for goods that are under warranty and i have to wait for along time .its been weeks since i took the generator back to the store.
