Great service under strenious circumstances

We had to return from Gauteng for the lockdown, staying in Cape Town, attending a wedding. On our arrival, Thursday at 14:00, we were exhausted, yet caught in the predicament that we must make an last minute effort to get some emergency stock before lockdown commence at 24:00. As we drove past Makro, scenes of desperate people, crowding the entrance, kinda discouraged us to go there, yet we proceeded there. At the entrace of both store and liquor store, despite the crowds, we found professional staff regulating orderly shopping, whilst maintaining there composure. Inside both we were happy to find enough stock, much assistance and despite the already long and demanding hours leading to this day, friendliness all-around. This enabled us, as with hundreds others, to orderly go about doing our shopping. How does this make them unique? We came from Gauteng, made several attempts along the way to do much needed shopping, but uncontrolled chaos awaited us in most towns we visited. "Normal" days at Makro has often frustrated us with poor client service and often unfriendliness, lacking personal interest. Hats of to Makro for, when we needed it most(being exhausted from our trip), they stepped up to the plate and hit a homerun, at least in my books. #SupportLocal Thank you all.
