22 Sept 2025, 14:25Your response is extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I did not make a “quantity error”, I purchased what was advertised on your platform: a 12-pack Hennessy VSOP for R5299. I paid in full, and your store attempted to downgrade my purchase to a 6-pack after the fact.
This is misleading advertising and goes against the Consumer Protection Act, which protects consumers from false, deceptive, or misleading representations. It is not the customer’s fault if Makro lists products incorrectly, it is your duty to ensure accuracy in your advertising.
I am not requesting a refund. I demand that Makro honors the transaction and provides the 12-pack I paid for. Hiding behind “terms and conditions” does not absolve you from accountability.
If this matter is not resolved, I will be escalating it to the Consumer Goods & Services Ombud (CGSO) and other relevant regulatory bodies.
