False advertising online?????
I saw an ad online, on the 10th of July 2019, for a Samsung washing machine for the price of R3 999, valid till 22 July 2019. The next day when I went online to order the washing machine, the price increased to R4 499 and still valid until 22 July 2019. I queried this and was told that I need to take the picture (which I took on the 10th in order to show my husband) to my nearest branch and then the manager will decide if I can have the washing machine at that price. I informed the lady that my nearest branch doesnt have any stock and this is why I wanted to buy it online. The reply was sorry for any convenience caused but I cant buy it online. I went online today (22 July 2019) and saw that the washing machine isnt on promotion any longer. Surely this is false advertising, is it not?
