FALSE ADVERTISING BY MAKRO - THE PROMO GIFT THAT YOU DON'T GET

Makro sent out an e-mail flyer on a Monday morning (17 Oct) advertising FREE GIFTS with certain purchases. I immediately purchased a bottle of Six Dogs gin as part of this promo - that was supposed to come with a free 10L branded cooler box. I received my product the next day (efficient service) - BUT NO FREE GIFT. Numerous calls and e-mails to Makro Online Support resulted in two calls from Prisca Khoza at the local store in Springfield but some of the excuses I received were a) the Liquor Shop guys didn't know what promo I was on about and b) the Liquor Shop guys said I purchased the promo after it was over (hilarious as I purchased less than an hour after I received the e-mail and according to the promo, it was valid until 28 Oct). I have sent Makro Online and Prisca at the store their same e-mail promising the free cooler bag - but they don't call back after that.

FALSE ADVERTISING, MAKRO, IS BAD BUSINESS. I'm so tired of your calls and lies. I would never have bought this gin if it weren't for your promo.

Poor customer service on every level.
