False advertising
I went to makro crown mines to buy a Hisense 40' "smart" full hd tv on the 31/08/2020. I went to strubbens Valley with the screenshot shot of the TV I was looking for that reflected on the makro online site and was told it's not in stock as yet and that I need to get it at crown mines. I went there and I kept asking if they are sure if the TV is a smart tv and was told yes it is. I asked why the package was not written smart on and if they are sure if it's a smart tv and again I was told yes it was. I couldn't connect the TV due to loadshedding until this past Thursday for me to notice there is nothing smart about the tv(unless if I can't connect it). I went back to the makro online site to check if I had brought the right thing and yes the same tv is there but this time the 'smart' part was removed. Did I buy this product based on incorrect advertising or is it a trick to get us to buy something that isn't right? I'm disappointed even though I liked the service from the lady that served me. I still have the original screenshot and receipt of the purchase
