Extended warranty means nothing!!!!!

I bought a portable aircon elegance. We also took the extended warranty. The machine started leaking and we stoped using the dehumidifier because of the leak. Then we took it in because we paid extra for the extended warranty. Now the feedback is the unit cannot be fixed because the parts has rust. We stay at in Natal and near the ocean. In addition Makro do not stock this specific brand. For obvious reasons!!!!!! It is a masterpiece of ****py Chinese engineering. Shame on me that I believed that Makro will not cheat me I trusted their word that they would not sell something that will break so EASILY and plus I got insurance from them to make sure. So the unit cannot be fixed because a aircon that cost almost R7000 rusted in 16 months. And we paid an extra few thousand rand for extended warranty The salesman convinced us because it is a unknown make from China that to be safe buy the extended warranty. So the lesson is don’t buy unknown brands and especially don’t by them from Makro and definitely don’t over pay for an extended warranty. In the end Makro do not honour the extended warranty.
