Experied food at Makro

Bought kiddies chips on the 28th of April. Found out later after kids have eaten some of them that Makro sold us expired chips. Expering date is 2024 May and we are now in 2025. We only realized this after kids started vomiting. Went to Makro on the 1st to complain but we were told that we will be called after they have reported to their head office. Today we went back as we were called to bring the affected kids and we did for them to take pictures of the sores on kids mouths. Risk manager (Chauke became rude when I asked how is Makro going to compensate us for traveling back and forth his response was he is doing us a favor. My question is Is Makro not suppose to take my kids to the Dr for check ups cause I can not drive 16km for them to just take a picture. Then it's when he told me how he is doing us a fauvor by helping us My question was we drove 16km for him to take pictures how is that helping these sick kids? I asked if makro was not suppose to send their employee to our place to take those pictures or even take the kids to the Dr? He said makro policie does not allow that But does Makro policie allow for customers to consume a year long experied food? Makro at New Market in Alberton. Can anyone who knows how to deal with this help us!!
