Excellent customer service from Andrew Grant - Makro Springfield - Online Dashboard Controller

Its not often as a customer today, do you find a corporate employee, that goes that extra mile for the customer experience. I needed to get a washing machine urgently and get it delivered as fast as possible. I called Makro Springfield in Durban who had the machine I wanted and spoke to the sales floor staff asking which was the best and fastest way to get the machine.

Well I got the normal dumb questions and was kept on the line for more than 20 mins, as one salesman asked another and just really got very frustrated. Well I hung up the phone and decided to call again and speak to the floor manager, it was a lady, who was just as irritable and frustrating, tell me everything she couldn't help me with, rather than sorting out my issue. She then directed me to try online, maybe they could help.

I was put through to a well spoken articulate young man, who introduced myself as Andrew Grant. He immediately sensed my frustration and by asking the right questions, got to what I was looking for and gave me a complete solution by logging on the online system and helped me step by step to register and order the machine. He then said that once I had done the payment process to call him, so that he could track the order to ensure delivery on Saturday. I called him as he knew exactly who I was and had found my order, well can you believe it.. I was delivered early on Saturday and was even unboxed for my wife.

We then had several issues.. that the machine was not working properly which I addressed with Andrew the following morning Sunday. He immediately, got hold of the specialists and reverted back to me, by email with the solution as well as a call. Not often one get professional efficient customer service these day !!

Andrew, thank you very much, I hope your company appreciates the sterling job you are doing for them and that you are properly rewarded as there seems to be a lack of it in that branch..
