epson printer L5190

I purchased an Epson L5190 printer at Makro. The printer has been a disaster. I bought it because it took ink instead of cartridges and HP did not have an equivilant. I needed a printer with a document feeder and good scanner. Installing it was a mission - I spent 3 hours on the phone with the technical support person. When I phoned a 2nd time as the first person got frustrated and hung up, I was directed to the UK web site to get the correct driver. The scanner jams if you put more than 5 pages in the feeder, if the paper runs out, the only way to reset the printer is to physically remove it from the electrical outlet. The software is cumbersome. I took the printer back to Makro with the intention of replacing it with a HP even it it meant going back to Printer cartridges. They took it into the repair centre and refused to exchange it as it was more than 7 days after the purchase date. This printer cost more than R5000! DO NOT BUY!!! BEWARE OF MAKRO'S 7 DAY RETURN POLICY!
