Empty whiskey boxes

I bought 5 jameson reserve gift packs and drove around with them in the car the entire day as I had other places to go to and by the time I unpacked only then I realised that 2 of them were empty it was just glasses, unfortunately for me it was after hours and Christmas eve which they'll only be open again on the 26th. I understand this is to prevent theft but I now lost out on 2 bottles, if this is the case the security at the door should double check since Makro knows that some are just boxes.
