employment selection

I don't know what do we call this but can someone explain what it means. My wife call in for an interview at markro riversands which is opening on the 29 October 2017, she was told that she will first write a test and if they pass they will do another verbal intervie on which she managed to pass all the tests, then they took the uniform measurements and bank account details then was told that she will be contacted for training before the shop opens.I stay at Riverside view and I've been seeing the cashiers for the past few weeks. I don't know how this company works
