Drunk customer in Makro Strubens Valley Liquor Store
I visited the Makro Strubens Valley Liquor store this morning. Not a pleasant experience! The store was busy yet not all the tills were open and although some tills "Less than ten items" signs they were ignored by both cashiers and customers. There was also a drunk in the store. He was so drunk he could hardly stand let alone walk, he tried to get a female customer to buy the bottle of Paarl Perle he had in his hand and shortly thereafter started screaming and swearing. The store manager and security were nowhere to be seen. A member of staff eventually stepped in and ushered him to a till to pay for his purchase and got him out of the store. Since when is this type of behaviour allowed by Makro and where were the manager and security?
You reply looks like a "Copy and Paste" response.
Please advise exactly what you intend doing about it!
Have the manager and security been disciplined?
The incident in the store was unacceptable and requires more than just a fob off!!!!!

You have failed to answer my questions:
Has the manager been disciplined
Have your security staff been disciplined?
Some tills have "Less than ten items" signs but they were ignored by both cashiers and customers - why is this?
I did email you at *** on 23 December 2024 and again on 6 January 2025 and have yet to get a response.
Do i need to contact the Massmart Ethics line or should I take this up with the Liquor Board?
