Dont trust Makro or Sinotec
Bought a new 50" 4K Android TV from Makro Strubensvalley 3 weeks ago on the promises of the Makro service people that Sinotec is GREAT because it is now manufactured in South Africa. Two weeks ago message appears on screen "Update Software". I did. Since then TV not working. Have contacted Marko (including the Store General Manager) and Sinotec mulitiple times in the last two weeks. Every times a PROMISE, taking my phone number, details etc etd that they will contact me.. Despite endless phone calls absolutely NOTHING. Maria Ramala at Sinotec Repairs promised me Patrick will call me and then put the phone down in my ear. BE WARNED!!! STAY AWAY. CANT BE TRUSTED.

Thank you for getting back to me. I specifically purchased the TV on the recommendation of the Sales staff as well as a DSTV to which I am paying an expensive subscription but is unable to use it because since I downloaded the update which the TV prompted me, I have been unable to use the TV for DSTV. That means not only am I unable to use a product I purchased because Makro recommeded it to me and I trust their word but I am also loosing money by paying for something I cannot use and no one seems to care. It is someone else's problem. When I went back to the store the sales people told me "We never download the software upgrade". When I asked them why no one told me that when they recommended it to me all they could do was look embarrass and stare at the floor. I will never trust Makro staff again. When I spoke to the Branch Manager he took my telephone number and promised me he will get back to me. Im still waiting...
