dont buy your coffee from Makro

I went to Makro in Woodmead on Saturday 29/04/23 to buy coffee which was advertised in their local makro paper. the advert showed a pouch of JACOBS Kronung or Gold 300g for R115 in small print at the bottom of the advertisment it said equates to R76.66 for 200gr (this i think is false advertising), however not seeing the small print we picked up 2 x300gm packets, when we got to the checkout we were charged R115 for each packet, a supervisor was called who informed us that the advert was for the 200 gram packet so we decieded to change them for the 200 gram packet these packets had 30 grams free making them 230 grams each, when these were rung up they were R147.20 each this was even more confusing so the Manager Lucas Maphanog (think this was his last name)was called he was very rude and informed us that we were the only customers that had caused such a fuss and were a problem. he said the advert was only for the Jacobs Kronung although it said both in the advert, he gave us a discount of R64.40 to get rid of us which made the total R230 for the 2x 200 gram packets making them R115 each same as the 300 gram packets. we are a retired couple who do not have a pension and rely on our savings to get by I think it is our right to contest any issues we find with the price of goods without being labled as problem people, I think Makro would do better to look at who they employ as managers in their shops and to keep supervisors more informed and up to date with policy if they paid more attention and less time talking and shouting to each other I am sure that shopping would be much morepleasent for customers.
