DONT!!!! BUY FROM MAKRO ONLINE EVER!!

When a company this size lies and and avoids answers to direct questions, then you must know.. DON'T!!!!!! EVER BUY FROM MAKRO SOUTH AFRICA. YOU WILL END UP LIKE THE THOUSANDS OF OTHER PEOPLE THAT BOUGHT FROM THEM AND ARE STILL COMPLAINING

i BOUGHT TWO!!! ITEMS FROM MAKRO. One item i was happy with accept that it had a faulty battery, i returned this for an exchange, but instead, and after months of emails and messages and calls, they decided to refund me on the item, but didn't refund the deliver fee.

The other items was a complete dud, a TV aerial. This item I returned for a refund, the refund was approved in September already, however despite many messages, emails and calls, all i got was a thousand lies. It first started with they did make the refund, i must check my statements on the original day of purchase, THAT WAS A LIE I'M SURE THEY ARE TELLING YOU TOO. A refund is like a payment to your account and the reference for the payment is "REFUND" so don't get fooled. The second lie, i asked to see proof of payment, they sent me someone else's purchase, i demanded to see my refund payment transaction, never saw it till this day.. Then i was told the payment failed and they would do it again, still hasn't happened. Then i made a complaint here on hello peter and finally i got some headway, i managed to get the refund on the other item and for this aerial they asked for me bank details. This was weeks ago now, and still after many emails and many messages i have heard nothing back from them, they just don't reply

Also i wouldn't use their online shopping platform either, its 100 times more expensive to shop online then off line. If the item is good you lucky, if its not, you will cry.. These people don't care if its hundreds or thousands they will just ignore you and lie to you, just look at their track record of innocent victims on this site alone. You must take into account, not everyone knows about this avenue of action, some people make phone calls, some people send emails, some people send texts, some people go to the closest store and some people do nothing and cut their losses, so the number of people you get on this platform, is just a tiny part of the size of the problem. DON'T BUY FROM MAKRO. You will cry.
