Don't buy electronics at Makro.

I bought a Dell monitor. The item was in sealed packaging. No sign of being opened previously. The sales person explained that it has a 2 year warranty and that was it. I paid and left. Tried to return it the same day due to poor image quality. 20% of the screen's pixels appears to be light brown / different colour. Return desk staff explain to me that all electronic items must be sent to supplier for assessment before they can swop with new item or return funds to my credit card and that the sales person would have explained this to me. He did not. This assessment by the supplier can take up to 21 days. I am R3500 short!!!! And I required a screen. Considered buying a new one and trust that the credit will come eventually. Decided against buying at Makro. Told them nope...never buying there again and went to Computer Mania who confirmed that they will gladly return funds or swop in situation like this. I also got better quality screen for slightly less. Don't get your electronics at Makro.
