Does MAKRO care about there customers and their business?
I'm very disappointed in the customer service at MAKRO. For a company that spends millions on advertising to attract customers, it would surely make sense to keep the customers you already have and not alienate them. Since The beginning of 2021 I have spent R10651 in online shopping with MAKRO. Luckily in that time I have only had two incidents with delivery problems. In the first instance it was my continued phoning and following up that eventually resulted in receiving the item that was not delivered. In the second instance my order was packed in two boxes. I received two boxes and on opening them found that half my order was in one of the boxes and the second box contained items I had not ordered. I need these items urgently. I placed my order on 18 October and the two boxes were delivered on the 20 October. Since then, I have tried in vain to get the incorrect box collected and my correct box delivered. So far, it has been just over 2 weeks, and I don't feel I am winning at all. I have phoned and emailed and phoned and phoned and been promised my problem had been escalated, and yet I still sit without the items I ordered and paid for. Does Makro not care? Do they know that they are chasing their loyal customers away? If they want to succeed in the online shopping arena then they should take a leaf out of the very successful online shopping companies like Checkers Sixty 60 and Pick n Pay ASAP. It seems as long as your order is delivered correctly the first time, the service from MAKRO is excellent. However if there is a problem, you are on your own. No one at MAKRO gives a hoot about you and your problem. Shame on you MAKRO.
