Do you even care about your customers experience in the store?
Im a patient person but now I feel I need to let you know about how terrible an experience it is to shop in your store. And, when asked to speak to the branch manager, get told that he only come in to the office once a week, so with no leadership, its not surprising your customer service is so appalling.
I have worked retail for many years, I have been force fed customer care, and it is so simple to do, but you guys fail in such a spectacular way.
Forklifts moving loads above customer heads is dangerous, why dont you cordon off the areas or wait for thee to be no customers around before lifting a load to the top shelf. If that load falls you will have people DEAD from your apathy towards your customers. But why are you doing it during shopping hours to begin with? Especially merchandising. That should be done before and after operating ours unless a shelf gets low during trading, then you replenish as fast as possible, dont leave boxes all over the place and expect customers to dance around your guys inability to work efficiently. Your forklift drivers act like they own the place and that its their own personal race track. If you want to get a product off the shelf and the driver has parked in your way.....tough luck, you get looked at like an alien.
you have pallets blocking isles so that a customer has to go down a separate isle to get to the other side of the pallet.
Your staff and merchandisers are on their phones constantly. Watching videos, making calls while on the shop floor. If they are not on their phones, they are in groups of 3+ having fat chats and if they happen to block the isle for a customer...again, they dont care.
Your cleaning isle is almost always blocked. Finding someone to help with a query is almost impossible because they run away from you when they see you approaching.
Your staff push customer trolleys out of they way! Hello? Covid...if you wont move for me, why then will you expose us to contact just to get what you want? Also, security guards touching things in our trolleys while we are shopping? What gives with that?
The main cross isle that travels the width of your store seems like a dumping ground for your merchandisers and packers as well as the general meeting place. Of course you have cameras looking down each isle, so they obviously hide in the cross isle...and I wouldn't be surprised if those cameras are not monitored or even work.
Why dont the conveyer belts at the tills work? Cashiers sitting watching us as we unpack and then asking us to push the items forward so they can scan them?
And what gives with card only or cash only tills with no signs? The number of times I have started unpacking a trolley and had my card swiped and then get told that Im at the wrong till is infuriating. Or being told that I have to go to another till because I asked for a packet and there is no packer at the till I am at. Clearly a customers time is not of concern to you either.
Staff with masks under noses or none at all.....
Really, do you even care about customers because from what I see, if your CEO were to walk into that shop, you should all be given final letters. Is customer service even a party of your ethos at all because if it is, I cant see it.
The attitude is poor and apathetic and dangerous. Yes, your store had great deals and you draw people in. Not exactly going to drive to Springfield to try another branch and I suppose thats part of the problem, you know we dont have a choice so it doesn't matter how you treat your customers.
Also, whats with your workers using the on display gym equipment in store? Twice I have been walking past that section and there they are using the bench pressed in uniform. If they are allowed to do it, do it after hours and help customers rather than congregate and not be of use to anyone.
Shocking leadership overall, no accountability and an apathetic attitude exude from this store.
Best regards,
