DO NOT USE MAKRO ONLINE PLEASE
I cannot stress enough how absolutely TERRIBLE my experience with Makro online has been. It’s been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. First, they cancel my order due to 'stock shortages' and I end up waiting DAYS for a refund that I NEVER received. Then, because of personal issues, I had to change my ID details and cancel my Capitec account, which I did on the 12th of November. I immediately sent the new account details to Makro for my refund.
Weeks later, they claim they refunded me on the old account that was CANCELLED by Capitec, while they received my updated info! Of course, the refund is going to bounce back to them because the account doesn’t even exist anymore. It's beyond ridiculous.
At this point, I’ve completely given up on following up. It’s my loss, even though that money could have made a real difference in my life. I’m done with Makro, and I would NEVER recommend anyone buy from them. They’ve wasted enough of my time and money
There is nothing that Capitec can do as they mention that when the account was closed they were no funds from Makro, all the funds I had during the closing of my old account I purchased with were transferred to my new account with no funds from Makro so now the account is none existing there's no way it can be traced back.
