I placed an order for groceries on 1 May 2020. They said that the delivery would take 5 - 7 days because of the COVID-19 and that was acceptable to me. Two weeks went by and no delivery. I called customer services to ask about my order and was told that it was due to be delivered but they could not tell me when as they needed to contact the store and I would be contacted.

Another two days pass an still no order or any communication from Makro. I called back again and was told that some items were not available and that was holding up my order. Why nobody contacted me to say that was red flag #1. I told them to deliver what they had in stock and refund the rest.

Another week later there was still no delivery and I called in to rather cancel my order which they did. I was told that the refund would take 7 - 10 days to reflect on my account.

It has now been 11 days since the order was cancelled and still no refund in my account. When I called in again, they said that the finance department had not processed the refund as yet.

It is now a month they have had my money and I have not been able to buy the groceries as the money is still sitting with them.

Makro has lost my business and I warn everyone reading this to steer away from their online orders. For a large business such as theirs, I was hoping their processes would be better.
