DO NOT order from Makro's online shopping platform

Makro's online shopping experience is absolutely pathetic and unreliable. PLEASE do not fall into the same trap that so many of us had who has listed a review of them and purchase something from them online. Your order will never come within 2 to 5 working days, that is a blatant lie. In fact, an order from Shein or Temu which is imported from China will be delivered before Makro even responds to an order query. I followed up with Makro numerous times via the call center as I noticed that my order was making absolutely no progress on the order tracker. Like other reviewers, I was told that they will escalate it and provide me with feedback which just never came. Upon being fed up with the call center, I sent Makro an email to the support email address on Monday, the 6th of May only to be informed 3 days later on the 9th of May that they are receiving a lot more emails that normal and that they will get to my email later. Today, on the 10th of May I finally receive feedback from the supplier directly, informing me that the order is delayed. Still no feedback from Makro. In the email trail I noted that Makro only sent through my order to the supplier on the 6th of May which was supposed to be the last day upon which my order was to be delivered.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM unless you have endless patience and can wait for your order to be delivered in about 3 weeks. Order from Takealot instead.
