Do not buy online from Makro. Bunch of *****.

Tried to do an online purchase of a Karcher High Pressure Washer which was on promotion with free delivery yesterday. Could not complete the check out process. Called customer help line today. Was informed that it was a low stock item and that I must call my nearest store to check stock availability. When I checked my basket I noticed the item had all of a sudden increased in price. Stanley at Makro Wonderboom Junction in Pretoria confirmed that they had 12 of these items in stock. Called back to customer help line. The call center consultant tried her best to process the sale and eventually told me that I could not get this. She could see the 12 which were in stock but said the system was probably not updated and that there was probably no stock available. Tonight when I checked this very item was still available online. Tried again to buy it with exactly the same problem as yesterday. This is unacceptable and creates a false expectation. Tonight
