Do not buy extended warranty for Makro Products!

Bought a Defy microwave 2 years ago at Makro. I paid for extended warranty as I know that products from Defy and other SA brands are all made in China and are extremely poor quality. After only 2 years of use a large hole due to rust appeared on the bottom inside making in inoperable. I returned it on Jan 2021, well within the warranty period and now I am told by Makro that extreme rust is not covered??? First, what kind of quality product gets rusted through in only two years? Secondly why did no one point out that I was paying a warranty that has SO Many Exemption conditions that it is practically WORTHLESS?
