Dishonest salesman

I bought a Milex air cooler a week ago, the salesman told us it's an amazing product and we can return the product if we aren't happy. The product worked dismally, a high velocity fan cools a room better than this air cooler. We took the cooler back to Makro, as that's where it was purchased, and the Homemark rep tells us that there is a no returns policy on any Milex product and we should just use extra ice in it. I am appalled that we are now stuck with a disgusting product which cost us almost as much as we would pay for a built in air con.
