Disheartening and disappointed.
Recently bought a laptop for R5000 from makro arbor crossing Amanzimtoti for my wife who desperately needed it for work. Turns out this laptop keeps freezing and is very slow so we contacted the sales consultant and who told us apparently it's a celeron and they all like that but was not told this when I purchased it. I was told it has a big memory 1 Tera bite and not being a tech savy person I bought it thinking it was a very good one. They told us to bring it back with receipt and packaging which we did. So they checked it and confirmed to us its in original condition we wanted to return it and take another one which was R10000 but was told that it was a good one. When the consultant contacted the manager he blatantly refused to take it back. We asked to speak to him directly and we explained our situation but again he refused to take it back even though we were prepared to take another 1 at double the price. We pleaded but he was stubborn and refused us. Last year I bought a TV n soundbar from the same makro for 16k combined. We always buy our major products from there and to be treated poorly is not on. We lost our R5000 now cos the laptop is useless. I know they have millions of customers so what would they care about me. But I spent a lot of hard earned money in that store you would think they will try n help. The manager refused refused to our face. It's very sad now as we have lost R5000. It's alot of money to us. What more can we do. Have to look around now for another laptop for my wife. Very very disappointed...
