Disgrace!!! Do not buy Bosch appliances from Makro.

In August 2019, I purchased a Bosch washing machine from Makro, and paid for an extended warranty which expires in August 2024.

On 3 February 2024, my washing machine displayed an error code. I called Makro call centre on 5 February 2024 and spoke to Keith. I explained the problem to him and gave him all the required information.

He told me that he would inform Bosch of the problem and ask them to dispatch a technician to my house within 48 hours. He gave me the following reference number: ***.

Up until 6 February 2024, no one from Bosch has contacted me or come to my home.

I called Makro on 7 February 2024 and spoke to Nthando. She looked up my reference number, confirmed that Bosch has been informed and that I should now call them on ***.

I called Bosch and spoke to Alwethu, who informed me that there was no record of Makro contacting Bosch regarding my issue.

Once again, I called Makro and spoke to Karabo. I asked to speak to a manager, and obviously ALL the managers were in a "meeting". So I explained my issue to him again. This time I was told that my query was now with the extended warranty department, whose job it is to inform Bosch. I was assured that manager Busisiwe Gadebe would call me before close of business on 7 February 2024 to resolve my query. Surprise: she did not call. I emailed Makro the same evening, but have yet to receive a response.

Today, 8 February 2024, I called Makro yet again and spoke to Kumano. After hearing my story again, she assured me that Busisiwe would call me today. She did not.

Makro's incompetence in resolving my query is disgraceful. It makes me wonder if their extended warranty is a **** designed to make unsuspecting comsumers pay extra fees for no service. When I actually need Makro to fulfill their policy, I get the run around.

By extension, this unfairly makes Bosch seem *********** as well.

Is anyone at Makro actually competent enough to resolve my query???
