Disappointing service from Makro cornubia

I would like to place on notice the absolutely disappointing service that I have received from Makro cornubia. I purchased a washing machine including an extended warranty from Makro cornubia in July 2025. Upon delivery the machine was not working. I called Makro and they sent out a technician who indicated something might have shifted during delivery. He reset it and low and behold 6 months later the machine has the same problem. I called Makro, a technician was sent out again and he acknowledged that there was something wrong with the machine. He indicated he would liaise with defy and Makro. He indicated that defy said he should repair the machine. He came out again and apparently repaired the machine. The next day it stopped working. I contacted Makro again and they indicated the would send out a technician. No technician arrived. I then proceeded to drive to the store on the 10th march 2026. I spoke to a lady in returns who indicated that there was nothing she could do and a technician would come out in 3 to 5 days. It's not the 17 march, 7 days later and no technician has come out nor have I received a call from Makro.

So I paid R 7000 for a machine that doesn't work and an unable to get any assistance from Makro. I will never purchase another item from Makro and will inform family and friends about the disappointing service that I have received. It is truly sad that the service at this once reputable and trusted store has come to this.
