Defy Steam Iron Burning Clothes – Faulty Product Under Warranty

I purchased a Defy steam iron which is still under warranty, and I am extremely disappointed with its performance.

From early use, the iron has been overheating and burning my clothing under normal settings. This is not due to incorrect usage, as I have followed standard ironing guidelines. The unit appears to have a temperature regulation fault.

After researching, I found multiple customers reporting the same issue — including clothes being burnt and the iron sticking to fabric. This clearly points to a product defect rather than user error.

An iron is meant to care for clothing, not damage it. This has already resulted in losses on my side.

I request that Defy urgently honours the warranty by either: • Replacing the unit • Or providing a full refund

If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will escalate it further under the Consumer Protection Act.

I expect feedback as a matter of urgency.
