Default listing prescribed but still not removed as per NCA.

I have defaulted on my account and got listed negative on credit bureau. The default is from an account I had more than 3 years ago. I contacted Makro call centre and requested that I need to pay so that they can clear my name. They sent me to another legal company ofwhich I was asked to pay 2k. I paid but when I requested my name to be cleared I was sent from pillar to post without help. The default in my name was supposed to fall off after 1 year according to NCA and Makro was supposed to have it removed but shockingly its still there. I'm very angry I need this negative listing removed from my profile as it is blocking me from employment. This company agents are not helpful cos I've emailed them but no help. They MUST REMOVE THE LISTING AS PER NCA PRESCRIPTION PRESCRIBES.
