Damaged Cricket Stumps

On the 06.08.15 I bought a Gm English Willow Cricket Bat and a set of Kookaburra Stumps and for both these Item ,I paid R1298. A week later when I took out the Cricket Stumps ,I found that all the Stumps had cracks on them. On the 16th August I had to make a Special Trip to Makro to return the Stumps and they gave Me a credit Note and I went to repurchase the Stumps . As I didn't want to have the same experience, so I asked the Salesperson to inspect the Stumps before I purchase . On inspection we found that these Stumps were also damaged and then we went through all the Stumps on the Shelf ,they were also damaged.
As I had to travel from the North of Durban to Makro to return the Stumps and I will have to comeback to repurchase I ASKED Makro to compensate Me for my Fuel Cost and Unnecessary waste of Time and they refused as it is not Company Policy.
How can Makro being part of Walmart which prides themselves on Quality and Customer Satisfaction Stock Damaged Goods on their Shelves. One would expect that a Company that belongs to Walmart, would do Quality Checks before they receive the Goods from their Supplier and then only put them on the Shelf.
This is unacceptable.
