Contravention of the Consumer Protection Act!!!
On 01 November 2025, I bought a foldable wardrobe online, for R456. This morning (10 days later) they cancelled my order and raised the price of the item to R1 200.
No communication in between, just a discrete refund.
Section 23 of the Consumer Protection Act prohibits!
I incurred bank charges when processing the purchase. I also bought items I didn't need, in order to qualify for free delivery.
Does the refund consider all this? You guessed it.... NO.
If this isn't *********, I don't know what is.

It does not address the principle of the problem. Reducing all this to an "inconvenience" is problematic.

11 Nov 2025, 15:41I did not cancel the order; you cannot state that as the reason for your inability to resolve the issue.
You increased the price after I had paid for the item, which is in contravention of the Consumer Protection Act. This is the problem you are pretending doesn't exist.
Calling it an inconvenience (again) doesn't reverse what you have done.
