I have bought on 07/07/2017, for the first and last time , some minced meat from Makro Port Elizabeth. The label, and as was also confirmed during a discussion with the butchery manager, shows a ratio of 90% meat, 30% fat. Upon cooking the meat, I was shocked to see the amount of fat that floated around the handful of meat in the pot! This is definitely not a 90/10 ratio as it is claimed but rather a 70% 30% and amounts to *****. My husband and I have been involved in south African beef export and know that what the label says is a definite lie! It is quite shocking to see how a big chain of stores such as Makro have so little consideration for their customers. I unfortunately had to use what was left of the “meat”, as I was preparing the Sunday lunch and could not go out at 8:00 pm to run around and buy meat… I sent pictures by e-mail and via their website of the amount of fat and of meat, but to date I did not hear ant response from them. NEVER AGAIN!
