Cheated out of R1000-00

I bought a washing machine from Makro which was delivered with a dent in the front. Crown Mines offered me a credit on the machine of R1000 as they did not have stock to replace the machine. They then did not refund me, but instead sent a gift voucher. The person that I dealt with new perfectly well that I live about 4 to 4.5 hours drive from the nearest Makro. So they expect me to drive out R1000 worth of petrol to use this voucher?????????? She assured me I can use the voucher online. Now TODAY I’m being told that I cannot use the voucher online. Only in store. And that I cannot split a payment by using a card and a gift voucher!! Kindly escalate this issue to managerial level. I expect this voucher to be cancelled and a refund passed to the card I paid with when I purchased the washing machine - ONLINE!!
