Chaotic isles makes for unpleasant shopping!
Being a Sunday in the silly season, the least you expect from any store is to have some order. Clearly not the case of Woodmead Makro. The aisles are overcrowded with stock laying everywhere leaving space for only 1 trolley to pass at a time. Extremely unprofessional and a horrible shopping experience!

Firstly I want to apologize for your bad experience in our store.
It is definitely not the Makro way of doing business to close aisles off , nor is it our way of doing business to have pallets all over the floor making it difficult for customers to shop.
We have reached the pick season a very busy period for our company. We have traders and stockvel who buy pallet loads and cases of stock and unfortunately these has to be pulled off the racking on the sales floor for them. This operation cannot be done at night as the traders/stockvel places their orders when they arrive at the store. The isles could however be managed better and I will definitely give attention to this with the relevant manager.
We do pack our shelves at night but due to the nature of our business, we unfortunately have to pack during the day as well as and when the shelves are depleted, hence the pallets on the floors. This however could also be managed better and attention will be paid to that as well with the relevant staff and managers.
We try and ensure that all customers have a safe and pleasant shopping experience.
