Cancelling transactions unilaterally

The exact same thing happened with another reviewer (please see review of Shiraj C - makro cancels transactions unilaterally during dispute Makro raised on transaction they accepted) , specifically how the situation was handled! I bought a special (listed on makro's website as MORE FOR LESS) on Saterday morning, thinking that this special is due to Black Friday (I even followed a link makro sent me that Saterday to this special). The transaction went through (makro clearly indicating the rands I saved on the purchase) and they sent me a confirmation email.

The CPA clearly states that the displayed pice becomes a binding contract once accepted by consumer making payment. And that they're terms and conditions are IN FACT subject to the marketing regulations in the CPA.

The fact that they made a 'mistake' doesn't mean we have to suffer for their 'mistake'.

I would advise everyone to refrain from buying online at makro. And that the price you see (even if they list it as a special) is not what you get.
