Campmaster Thermo Electric Cooler 40L

On 20 March 2015 I purchased a Campmaster Thermo Electric Cooler 40L for R1299.00 for a 2 week camping trip in the Kgalagadi. The meat and chicken was frozen for a week. Each item was wrapped in newspaper and surrounded by frozen bricks. It was loaded into my Landrover Discovery and plugged into the 12V socket for the trip from Umdloti to Centurion - 7 hours. On arrival in Centurion the Campmaster was plugged into the electrical point overnight. The next morning at 05.00 it was loaded into the Landrover Discovery and plugged into the 12V socket for the trip to Kgalagadi Lodge. On arrival in the afternoon 16.00 it was plugged into the electrical socket in the Lodge overnight. The next morning (2days) the Campmaster was opened and all the meat and chicken was defrosted. I believe it was blowing hot air into the \fridge". A lot of the meat and chicken had to be discarded ruining a carefully planned photographic trip. The handle and plug cover have broken off. Makro are concentrating on this and not the fact that the contents were not kept cold and had to be discarded. I do not want a replacement as it doesn't do what it was purchased for. """
