Broken mountain bike

I bought a Raleigh kids bicycle (mountain bike) as a Christmas gift and I'm very sad to say my child is still without their gift weeks later.

The bike was okay at first but after a few days the kick-stand, a piece of welded metal, snapped off the frame and I returned the bike a couple of weeks ago.

I've had absolutely no feedback from the returns team and I am unable to get through to them on the phone. I tried to email Kate, the manager, but she has not rep**** yet.

@MAKRO_SILVERLAKES: How many weeks do you want my child wait to use their Christmas gift ? ?

Thank you, I managed to get a refund after a few weeks, but I would like to make a couple of suggestions to help you keep your customers happy.
- If the makro online team (whoever replies to these hellopeter messages) cannot use a makro card number to retrieve the details of an item that was returned, then you're going to increase customer frustration.
- If the returns team take weeks to do 'an assessment' then they will continue adding to customer frustration. The result of their assessment is ambiguous and invisible and it seems implausible.
- If your returns team never sends any feedback until the end of weeks of waiting, they will add to customer frustration.
- If your only resolution is just a credit note, your customers will continue to feel frustrated because there seems to be an inefficient process in your returns system that produces a piece of paper at the end of weeks, but during all that time you make NO effort with customer care.
