Beware of Makro's Gas Heater promotions

Don't buy a gas heater from Makro. I did after having it set up for me. The problem was that the pilot light stopped randomly. After trying to make it work, it didn't, I took out back for a refund. I had the packaging, slip and product. It included the gas canister which they advise you but from them. It happens to be a size that can ONLY be filled at Makro. I went to "Returns", far let glamourous than the sales end. The counter is manned by an indifferent, slow individual, (clearly for for purpose), who made the following statements: Makro doesn't refund faulty heaters, they only repair them. He pointed out in the small print: if you return the product after 14 days, then it will only be repaired after another 14 days. He suggested that I take the product to the manufacturer, Kenwood and pointed the way with his chin in a dismissive gesture. I honestly think he got joy from dissing me. I shall not use Makro ever again, Builders Warehouse and Wal-Mart have a more reliable reputation. Derek Jooste
