Beware of Makro Online!

I logged a return on 19 December 2024 (Order No. MAK***). I was requested to select a date and time for collection of the return. My selected date was 23 December 2024. To date, Makro has not bothered to arrange for the order to be collected in order for the return to processed and finalised.

The product - shoe storage boxes - were stuffed in a Maq washing powder box, which was clearly too small. I only purchased the product due to the description and photographs in respect thereof, which were completely misleading. The shoe storage boxes were flimsy and not big enough to fit a pair of high-top sneakers, as advertised. The doors of the boxes were also not compatible with the boxes themselves. I am terribly disappointed in Makro for falsely advertising products on its online platforms, aimed at deceiving customers into purchasing them and then delaying the processing of returns once their **** has been discovered.

I spoke to 3 different customer service agents, all of whom provided different reasons for the delay in the collection of the return. No one was able to assist me and everyone had a nonchalant, apathetic attitude. Makro simply does not care about or take its customers seriously.

Overall, service from Makro has been pathetic and I will definitely stick to reputable, honest and reliable online stores like Takealot and Superbalist.
