Beware of Makro Best Before dates

Towards the end of 2024 I bought a box of Parmalat milk pod at Makro. The BB date on the product was for March 2025 and it reads it should be kept at room temperature. As this box, and not with previous boxes purchased, the content had gone sour I took it, with POP, to Makro Nelspruit. After speaking to employees at "Returns" and the manager of the food department I was told that it is a "perishable" and should have been returned to the store within 2 weeks. No exchange or refund offered. Please do note that even though instructions are followed according to the storing suggestion Makro does not adhere to "Best Before" dates printed on their packaging.
