Beware of cellphone theft at Makro, Isles do not have cameras

On the 27th of March 2024 I was shopping at Makro Wonderboom and my iPhone 13 Pro Max was ****** from my handbag. I only realised that my phone was missing when I was at the tills at around 10h30. When I requested the security to check the cameras, I was told that they are waiting for someone from the camera room. I waited for more than 15 minutes. When the person from the camera room came, he told me that they will check the cameras. I told him that I’ll wait for the feedback at the store. However , I was told to leave the store and he will phone me. I was not happy at all. I felt like he was dismissing me and he also didn’t care. He phoned me later in the afternoon telling me that they did not see the incident where my phone was taken from my handbag because some isles do not have cameras. It might have happened that the person who took my phone, did so in an isle without a camera. I was shocked that some isles at a big store like Makro don’t have cameras.
