Beware: Makro seemingly conducts misleading business

On 7 November 2022, I saw on the internet that Makro is advertising a dishwasher on promotion. I selected, ordered and paid for the product as advertised by Makro. On 9 November 2022, Makro delivered a different product and it was not accepted and returned. Since then I reported to Makro on several occasions that the correct product as advertised has not been delivered. All attempts to resolve the matter have been unsuccessful, since Makro just kept on saying they will follow up and come back to me, but they never contacted me to resolve the matter. Recently, Makro informed me they will refund the money, but as I am typing this message, the refund has still not been received into my bank account. As such, after more than 7 weeks it now seems evident: 1. Makro never had the intention to deliver the product advertised by them, which I subsequently ordered and paid for. 2. Makro never contacted me to resolve the matter, notwithstanding numerous requests for them to contact me. 3. Makro has still not refunded me, notwithstanding numerous requests to be refunded, and Makro's subsequent undertaking to refund me. 4. Makro seemingly placed a misleading adverti*****t to solicit orders and payment from customers, where after they do not deliver the product advertised, ordered and paid for, do not respond to the customer's requests for clarification and keeps the customer's funds in their account for as long as possible. What a shocking experience to order something online from/ try to do business online with Makro.
