Being aware 100% of the time is not easy

I visited the Makro store in Montague Gardens twice in the past two weeks and as usual service was good. I was especially impressed by the "competitive" attitude of the cashiers trying to persuade customers to come to their checkout point. That's a nice touch. I was a bit disappointed with a young lady stationed at the electronics division, who was busy on her cellphone when I walked past her. I examined the Bluetooth speakers on offer for a while and then she joined me and asked if she could assist. From that point onwards things went efficiently and professionally. It's a tough call to remain 100% focused on customers. It's a "Walmart" strategy (the "3-meter radius) that works and impresses customers - especially this one.

Keep up the good work. Kind regards, Gargantua.

Thank you, Mbali. It's not so much a "complaint" than pointing out that it's tough to be totally focused on your customers. When it's done right - which is most of the time - it does impress me and makes me want to visit Makro for my bulk purchases. Regards, Gargantua.
