Makro Alberton – Absolutely Disgusted!

I am beyond furious with the pathetic excuse of service I received at Makro Alberton today. I wasted 47 minutes of my life in that store just trying to buy a school suitcase for my child costing R1,800 — and not one single employee could be bothered to help.

When I got to the aisle with the suitcases, there was not a single staff member in sight. As I walked through the store, I passed four Makro employees glued to their cell phones, not even acknowledging customers around them. It’s shocking, but it gets worse.

When I finally went to the help desk and asked for a manager, I overheard the manager himself saying he can’t come help because he’s on lunch — at 3 o’clock in the afternoon! Are you serious? No wonder the staff don’t care — the manager clearly sets the example by not giving a damn about customers or service.

This is an absolute disgrace. I have supported Makro Alberton for years and spent plenty of money there, but after today, you will never see another cent from me. I will rather take my business anywhere else — even if it costs me more — because at least I might be treated like a human being.

If anyone at Makro actually cares (which I highly doubt), you can look up my profile and see what I’ve spent over the last two years. You’ve officially lost a loyal customer for good.
