Bad service

I bought a kettle on the 25/5/2022,brand name Bennet Read ..the problem with the kettle is it boils longer and doesn't stop until I stop it..it has been a while since it's been doing so then today I decided I'm taking it back since I'm still under 2 years warranty only for them to tell me they must book it in for repairs for about 3 weeks or so and until then I won't have a kettle In my house.how is it that I must stay without a kettle for so long thats guaranteed at that within 2 months and now I'm Facing problems with the item ..I dont understand why It was never explained to me when I bought it that should i come across any problems I would have to return it for repairs
