Bad product and Bad service from Makro Struben valley

I bought a schoolbag at Makro Struben valley on 16 July R899.99. After a week holes started forming in the exterior, after 2 weeks the side was torn so much that you could see the inside. Because I don't live close to a Makro and I was busy moving I could only take the bag back on 11 August, which is less than 3 week after the buying date. I Was told that this is normal wear and tear for a R900 bag, and that they won't refund me or let me exchange it. I've bought schoolbags of various prices for the past 10 years, this Not normal wear and tear. I was handled by the staff as if I am stupid to think that I would get a refund after 19 days of purchase, even the manager told me that I have no foot to stand on and that the bad quality is my problem.
