ARO 8L ELECTRIC URN FROM MAKRO

this is unfair to Makro but they promote an electric urn with the make of ARO (I have been unable to identify the manufacturer) which is totally unfit for purpose. The lid disintegrates withing 6 months dropping plastic into the water (I managed to replace it with a pot lid) and shortly after the plastic seating in which the lid rests starts breaking up, dropping even larger pieces of plastic into the urn. The tap has now decided to leak flooding the kitchen floor (but this is probably caused by plastic pieces being stuck in the tap). The manufacturers obviously did not test this appliance over any length of time. I have brought this to the attention of Makro but am not sure if anything will be done.
